Duncan Legacy Project
The Duncan Legacy Project facilitates an interchange of artistic, educational, and scholarly work to promote an awareness of dance history as dynamic, inclusive, and ever-evolving. The Duncan Legacy Project fosters the generous sharing of knowledge through its core programs, the online Isadora Duncan Archive, and the experiential Isadora Duncan International Symposium. The Duncan Legacy Project supports the dance community worldwide as it provides resources for Duncan practitioners, the general public, and the international dance community.

Join us for a panel discussion with four innovative dance artists, Dante Puleio, Ian Spencer Bell, Amelia Sanders, and François Chaignaud. The panel will be led by moderator Meg Brooker and focuses on questions around gender, identity, inclusivity, and the many modes of participation in the practice of learning and performing the works of Isadora Duncan, and other early modern dance choreographers.
This event kicks off the celebration of the 150th anniversary of Duncan’s birth. The newly formed Duncan Legacy Project serves as an umbrella organization for its core programs, the online Isadora Duncan Archive, and the experiential Isadora Duncan International Symposium. The Duncan Legacy Project fosters the generous sharing of knowledge and supports the dance community worldwide by providing resources for Duncan practitioners, the general public, and the international dance community.

Contribute to the Vision
The vision for the Duncan Legacy Project is to establish a nonprofit umbrella organization that encompasses the Isadora Duncan Archive, the Isadora Duncan International Symposium and future projects to benefit the international Duncan dance community. Donations are being accepted via the Duncan Symposium PayPal to further this goal. Contributions made directly via Paypal are not currently tax-deductible. We hope to announce a tax-deductible method to contribute very soon.
